So a few months ago I found a pretty decent Thermoquad in the boneyard so I decided to put it on my 73 Charger. And today I decided to drive around my charger for a bit but as soon as I fired it up my TQ it started spewing out gas from what I think is the solenoid. I took it off my engine and after looking closer at it it seems like it leaking from the gaskets as well:sad1:

So my question is should I rebuild this one or just buy a new one from Summit? I have never rebuilt one in my life and I heard its kinda tricky.
And will a TQ from a 318 fit a 440?

Thanks any advice will help.

Yea it will swap but the smaller primary will have the engine down on power.
Rebuilding them really isnt trick. If you have doubts, send it to bobby, AKA, Rusty Rat Rod

I think I decided to just order a new remanufactured unit. Does anyone know where other than summit?

Be warned the remanufactuered units may contain mixed parts.
