Show me your Classic Car/Truck Cell Phone Mount

On a 68-70 B-body, that would be ideal if it had a magnetic mount to stick on the underside of the dash, below the upper dash pad.
Something like this should work. I like the swivel head and the cable guide clip on the back.

I might have to look into a STRONG magnet mounted holder. I have tried a few kinds to mount a tablet in my '86 GN, I use it to display various engine parameters and monitor any detonation. I mounted a smooth metal plate in front of the shifter on the console and tried the suction cup type of mount, but that doesn't reliably stay put.

My phone protector case has a rubber outer edge. I just set it on the console lid. It never moves.

I don't think it's safe to look at your cell phone on the console while driving.

The whole point of creating this thread was to explore phone mounts that keep the cell phone at eye level for obvious reasons.

While driving, I don't think it's safe to look at your cell phone regardless of where it's located. It's not the same as a gauge you have memorized and know at a glance what it's telling you. If you are using the Map function, you have to 'study' the screen...same as a paper map. If you're looking up someone to call/ answer a call it's just as distracting... taking your focus from driving (distracting).

The looking at the phone isn't half of the issue. It's the concentration required to hold a conversation, debate, argument, etc. with someone on the phone. Whether the phone is in hand or on dash or console, the user's brain is concentrating primarily on something other than driving. People sometimes compare this to eating a burger while driving, but people can do that on auto-pilot. A debate with their spouse? Not so much.
