My question regarding burnouts is this: does the vehicle always eventually start swinging to the same side (left rear swinging toward the driver/left)? Or can it swing to either side?
 
No photo of the Fremont Raceway "burnouts", but a story nonetheless you may appreciate. After so many runs with the 10" M & H slicks, my four-speed bracket racer ('65 Valiant four-door) suddenly started loosing traction. As a rule, I just made a quick water burnout in second gear to clean off the tires.

Returned to the pit area and I found the problem: the cords were now showing through on the rear slicks! I had no option than to go home after that and have two new tires shipped to me via Greyhound.
