Simple (I'm sure) question about kickdowns and manual valve bodies

Gents,

So I just had a 904 with a non-reverse pattern manual valve body put into my '73 Plymouth Satellite. I do not need to attach the kickdown to the throttle with this valve body, but I'm wondering what I should do with it. Do I want to zip-tie the lever on the trans all the way back? All the way forward? Just disconnect the linkage and leave the trans lever alone?

Thanks,

Zach

I would ask the valve body builder about that for absolute clarity. Many manual valve bodies use a much heavier pressure regulator spring for constant high pressure without the use of the external linkage.

Right, there is no connection at all between the car and the kickdown at this point. My question is what to do with the pressure lever on the trans itself, the part that the kickdown linkage connects to. Does that need to be secured in any way, forward or back, or just left loose (seems bad).
