I want to get a better read on my oil pressure rather than just an idiot light. It's a 65 Dodge Coronet 225 /6 auto all stock. Whats a good setup? I know the sending unit is different than the V8s. Who has a decent kit for normal street driving? Sending unit and all. I may also get a matching water temp gauge too since the stock one is on the fritz. I don't need anything special, just basic setups. Besides, it might make my grandpa 4 door look a little cooler with some under dash gauges. I already have the mini tach on the steering column.

Mechanical oil pressure gauge can be teed off of the oil pump, below the oil filter. An electric temp gauge will likely screw in where the factory sender is. If you want a mechanical gauge, you will likely have to tap out the sender hole in the head for the mechanical sender fitting.

Check with any company selling speed equipment. I think every gauge manufacturer makes what you are asking about.

I was just looking for a preference on good vs not so good gauges. As far as oil, I think I want to go with electric. I don't want oil lines coming in.

Sorry for that last part, that would be for a TEMP gauge.
I tapped into the oil gallery on the lower left side of the block for my oil pressure gauge. Some blocks have a pad for that cast in but my block didn't, still had plenty of meat to tap for the fitting.
I also have a slant powered early B, /6 65 Belvedere I 2 door Post.

I always wondered how the pipe plugs in the side of the block would work for a temp gauge.?

I actually tapped mine with 1/4 NPT instead of 1/8 NPT (it was a doofus moment). There is plenty of meat there for tapping, even without the cast in pad.

The pipe plug on the lower right side of the block is not a good place for a temp gauge sender. It might work, but it is just not a good spot. Best place is still in the head up near the thermostat.
