thats the way I want to go with my 65 Plymouth. If I get down to 9.0 to 9.teens I'll be replacing my hood and fenders to all fiberglass from these suppliers.
If you really want to go fenders on that 65 plymouth and you have a race car and not needing the heavy weight street parts that are being built in Florida, then check out the fenders that I have on ebay right now and get a super good deal------------------Sled City

my sled city hood on my 63 belvedere starts curling up the front at 120 mph.i paid more for the stinger hood on my 65 coronet but it is a quality piece.
Didn't know that your car went that fast. You need a "Hood Pin" , in the center of most racing hoods. If you have a fiberglass hood and no center pin and you are running at those speeds, then your car is equiped with a heavy weight fiberglass street hood and you might have saved 5 pounds over a steel hood.

We're running Sled City Hood, and bumpers. The quality is good the service we've received has been good. As far as the hood lifting, I didn't notice anything at 134 mph but we are running 3 pins in the front, 1 on each side in the middle and 1 on each side on the rear corners.
Larry may not be the most prompt in returning calls.... (no excuse for that) but I never heard where he has screwed anyone. What I will say is Larry is one of the few that sells 63-65 Dodge and Plymouth B body fenders, hoods, deck lids, bumpers, hood scoops, etc etc. and it's nice stuff.

Just my opinion.
Thanks to all my loyal "Race Car Customers" on here for the kind words. As all my ads read, I build " light weight race car parts", and with those parts , you need hood pins put in the "right places". I have made a 68 Hemi Cuda hood as light as 9 pounds --5 pounds per fender--2 pound bumper, and that was a special order for an old pro stock racer. Hood pins on your core support is not always the right place. Do some thinking before you mount those hood pins. We race 5 cars with our fiberglass on them and we have no problems. 3 Hemi a-bodies, 62 Ply. max wedge wagon, 67 Hemi belvedere that spends more time on it,s rear wheels than it's front. Remember to put those hood pins in the right spot and if you have any problems, my email that works 100% of the time is [email protected] and my phone number is 1-614-875-0369, and we race what we build--we are racers!

Everyone is talking about hoods and hood pins and we haven't even mentioned the dash board that I make. It looks like it has a glove compartment but the door is solid. All the 1/2" holes for the lights, wipers, etc are blanked in and so is the u shaped cut out for your steering column. Most race cars have their colomns to one side or another for one reason or another. You can also bolt in your stock speedo and shifter buttons, and heater delete plates to give the public the idea that it is a stock dash. I recommend a 64 Plymouth speedo cluster because of it's round gauges. My dash fits the 64-65 b-bodies , and with a little trimming on the dash up by the windshield and a little trimming on the stock steering column support, you can run this piece in a 62-63 b bodie also. I have one in the 62 Plymouth Wagon, and it looks at home. Dash board is about 8 pounds and sells for $250

What is VFN? I need to know which companies to stay away from. Thanks. I want fiberglass everything for my future '65 Bel I.
i'm going to get a pin hood with AFX scoop from AAR Fiberglass for my 65 Plymouth Belvedere. I have heard horror stories about VFN. What about Glasstek?

what good is a center hood pin on a hood that the outer corners roll up?my 65 has been 132 on it's second pass.I didn't say anything about weight saving it's about quality, something you should look into both business and product.

Sounds like you put the hood pins in all the wrong places if the front corners are "rolling up". Do they actually roll up, and if this is the rear corners that you are talking about, then I would say that when you take your hood off you are not laying it flat or on it's side. You are sitting it on the rear points of the hood, and yes all fiberglass hoods will bend when they are sat on their rear points. I would suggest that you redo your front hood pin locations and use a total of 8 pins on that "Race car hood". Heavy weight fiberglass street hoods cost twice as much and take less pins.

How about some photos of your stuff... even ones in production, I know I'd like to see them...

maybe some simple lighter & better looking Dzus fasteners all over, will look a whole lot better than all them ugly & heavy hood-pins everywhere, just a thought...

I tried to put some pictures here on the site but couldn't figure it out. But I did do a next best thing, check out ebay item number 251347902359 and you will see some fenders and a dash board. There is no grill in the top of the dash. Check it out and enjoy. Hey Bishop, come get your dashboard!

you can load straight from your browser, go to "Go Advanced" under the quick reply box, then scroll down that page to "Upload Photos", click on it, then click on "Add Files" {green tab IIRC} it will direct you to your browser files, choose "Select files" at the bottom of that small box & click on the photos/file you want then from your computers browser, a window will come up you will choose from, click on the photo you want & they will load to the list {& repeat if necessary}, then when done choosing you photos, click on "Upload files" under that same box, then click "Done" on the bottom of the larger box, your photos are then loaded... it's really easy once you do it the 1st time... good luck
