When it came time for my build, I needed a front drive system that fit within the profile of the engine. There are a couple out there now, and I really liked the Billet Specialties kit, which is what I installed.

It looks great on the engine, and it was pretty simple to install... but I have to admit, you need to follow the instructions. A few guys in the shop, for some reason, felt they needed to come over and antagonize me and I missed a couple steps that I later had to go back and do.

You can check out the full installation in the latest article for Project Track Attack here.

So I just was on there site . And first wow that's not cheap . Second looks like the power steering pump has no resivor you need to buy that and the hose for $400 extra ! Is this correct ? I like the setup and like the posiopos if the AC comp I am thinking of buying but that's alot of money !

No, there's a reservoir, it's remote and mounts to the car instead of the pump... hence, why you don't see it.

Yes, it's a pricey kit, there are a couple of other manufacturers out there, but one of them I just didn't like at all, the other is fairly new and I like their stuff a lot, too (CVF Racing)

Why not a early 90's la belt drive?
I needed the drive to be more compact and not mount the compressor up at the top/middle. Then there's trying to find all the components, restoring them, refinishing/powder coating them..... this is actually the reason why front drives were created (according to my friend Kevin at C1 Pulleys). They got tired of trying to pieces pulley systems together and he and his brother, Randy, created Concept 1 to fill a need.

Thanks for the link. I’d like to see coverage of your A/C installation.

So it came with a resivor and lines ? Or do you need to buy that fancy chrome thing extra for $200 and the lines for $200 ?

Do you have a picture of what comes with it by chance I'm trying to keep chrome down to a min !

I'll be doing a Vinatage Air system... I have to get moving on getting the components ordered.

No sorry, it came with everything you need for the reservoir... including the lines, and the fittings. here's a pic with the reservoir. It includes nice braided hoses and nickel plated AN fittings...
