Snow in the Houston area.....

9-10” in Pensacola at my house, on Bayou Chico and it snowed for 1 1/2 hours pretty hard before any stuck. 19 degrees last night supposed to be 21 tonight. Miserable, last time they had snow here was 93.

I learned today that Georgia uses that infernal brine solution on the roadways. :mob:

Also, they're using a 3:1 ratio of small gravel and salt on some roads.
Thank god, they outlawed mainly blanketed brine & especially NO salted roads here Calif.
albeit brine is salty

Mostly a mix ash, pumice & sand
some 'brine' now it seems, (not sure what that means, according to CalTrans)
"in severe storms/conditions",
mainly at higher elevations, passes going over like hwy-50 & I-80 summits,
where big rigs travel, get stuck a lot
but "allegedly" mostly non corrosive mixes,
the dry mixes no salt is about all they use here, on less traveled rds or hwys
