I used to do that....now its just normal headlights rather than brights. The reason I stopped was when I nearly pulled out on in front of a biker with headlights so bright (blinding even in the daylight) it was difficult to judge his speed...and he was going much faster than I first thought. Nothing happened but I thought that might happen to me with a car driver that's not so awake....so I stopped it!! But its just my point of view....do whatever make you feel safer.
