I used to do that....now its just normal headlights rather than brights. The reason I stopped was when I nearly pulled out on in front of a biker with headlights so bright (blinding even in the daylight) it was difficult to judge his speed...and he was going much faster than I first thought. Nothing happened but I thought that might happen to me with a car driver that's not so awake....so I stopped it!! But its just my point of view....do whatever make you feel safer.

I'd be happy for all drivers to simply be looking out the windshield going down the road...
as opposed to down at their little screens.
Those people scare hell out of me because their driving is very much akin to that of a drunks'!
I can work with about anyone coming at me as long as their behavior is predictable -
heck, pick a side man, I 'll work with ya - but drunks+texters simply are not.

They're a darn good way of blinding oncoming traffic for sure - which has often proved to cause them
to come right at you.
On the off chance oncoming traffic IS actually looking out the windshield, the last thing Id imagine
one would want to do is blind them.
I know it does me.
Just sayin'.

As a motorcyclist and a driver, I can safely say that high beams are uncalled for. Day or night, they will blind oncoming traffic. Standard headlights (low beams) are plenty noticeable even in daytime.

Don't blind other drivers. You create more problems than you solve.

I'm also a motorcyclist.

I find cycles with brights or those strobing lights extremely annoying and unnecessarily distracting.
