Clap for the Wolfman- Three dog Night

RoadRunnerman
The Guess Who did Clap For The Wolfman.
I really Like C.W. McCall and his Wolf Creek Pass ("Tunnel went to the twelve foot line, Chickens stacked 13 9. Took the top layer of chickens like scum off a Louisiana swamp")

Thomas

Look, I love ACDC Thunder etc when smoldering the tires on the R/T. Nobody but me, the Human Beinz. But, the Motown 60's are the roots. And the car songs. Beach Boys, Rnny and the Daytonas, Jan and Dean.

I like all those songs too...but my taste is HEAVY METAL music. That just gets my blood flowing.

I can tell you what not to listen to. :) Back in the early 1980s, we were cruising up A1A in Daytona Beach in my friends Superbird on Easter Weekend. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this weekend/location, it occurs at the height of spring break and nothing is moving on the road due to traffic and there are thousands of bikini-clad co-eds clogging the sidewalks. A true target-rich environment for horn dogs.

We were listening to AC/DC's You Shook Me All Night Long on the local rock station when we moved ahead to a spot that was between two hotels that were at the right height and position to just block out that rock station and allow some distant other station to come through. We went from AC/DC to some southern minister raging about how everyone was going to Hell for their sins, and there we are with about 40 babes looking at us like we're a bunch of bible-thumping save your soul types. :)

Depending on how heavy my foot feels, off the top of my head I'd say "Mississippi Queen"- mountain, "Ramble On"- Zep, "Can't You Hear Me Knocking"- the stones, or "Whole Lotta Rosie"- ac/dc. Liking this thread!

"Bat out of Hell" by Meatloaf!
