Solid Motor Mounts

My son has 69 RR 440 built, has a lot of engine shake, tourqe strap attached to engine still has shake.

Banging headers(hookers) on the frame, wants to mount solid motor mounts,

Good or Bad?

Are you sure a motor mount is not broken? I ordered a set of Schmacher Poly-Loc motor and trans mounts because I had a random motor jump. When I removed the old ones I found my drivers side was broken. After installing the Schmachers my engine movement is totally gone, but I do have some different rattles in the cock pit now when it is warming up at idle. My cam has a noticable thump to it and this is what I attribute the rattling to.

Sounds like a broken mount. Get the Schmacher Poly mounts and hook up the torq strap and be done with it. I broke two sets of rubber mounts before I went with Schmacher's. I ran them for 9 yrs before I swapped over to elephant ears and they looked new when I took them out.
