sometimes it's hard to let stuff go

I have stuff I know I'll never use....... I may never use this carb again, but it ain't going anywhere
I think every car guy has stuff they will never use. The stuff I have that I now know I will never use is overwhelming... Lots of stuff heading to Carlisle!!

When we sold the shop last fall my brother and I hauled way to much stuff home.
Then we had a auction for everything left.
I had to just leave the area cause I was starting to bid on parts and tools lol.

Yeah there is always stuff out in the barn that needs to be gotten rid of.

I have a small parts room up in my barn.
It's getting difficult to walk in and turn around.
It is somwhat organized on the shelves.
But the floor is getting out of hand...

Yeah I'm a lil' guilty too, all the 'take offs' I keep in the 12'x12' shed out back
bigger stuff & a couple crates Org. parts & stuff I know I won't use anytime soon...
Most is stuff that will go with the current car if or when I was to ever sell it...
So 99% of stuff in the shed, isn't going anywhere soon...

I do have a few performance, brakes & suspension parts in/on the shelfs in the garage
or neatly assembled on the one side of the floor in the garage
multiple boxes of parts I've accumulated over the past 20-ish years
mostly performance oriented stuff, most still new in boxes, stored under my bench...
I don't have a lot of storage so I can't store to much...

Small 20'x20' attached garage...

A lot of it is from;
I was building (3) 2 RRs at once 1 for a buddy (his wife messed that all up)
& my old silver 68 RR 8.58 @ 156 racecar/with plates,
I bought 2 of everything while doing the builds,
1 for my car & usually also 1 for the buddies
& later my current 68 RR (that was a later project)
I got stuck with about $5k+ of suspension & engine/trans parts
All good parts still...
I could/will maybe still use someday, he bailed on me
& I was left holding the bag, all funded out on my pocket
(live & learn, get the $$$ up front, their wife crazy **** or not or a deposit at min.)
Even with a good longtime "friend'...

I had another guy that was going to buy most of them,
he said he was waiting for a check, for a job he had going
& he bailed too, after he told me, to hold them, that definitely he wanted them,
after I got shipping quotes, we agreed on prices & crated it all up...
(I got stiffed again, from a fellow car guy, again "live & learn", being a nice guy)
