Son of a Gun!

That Tawny Gold Charger is awesome! spec?

sjd
"spec?" Is this what you want? '73 4bbl 400 w/auto tranny, pwr steering, air cond, column shift, bucket seats, black interior, 3.23 8-3/4 open rear end.

Is it a WH or an SE with no vinyl?

Huh. Wouldn't you know it. Not a '74 400 HP. It's a Dec 71 230 block.

Found a 1973 model year 400 out in the bone pile. We'll now throw a 440 crank in it and build a mild stroker for the Charger.

Using that car for a circle track racer is almost as bad as using it for a derby car.
And they are huge compared to other offerings.
Plus MoPars seem to have a lot more restrictions.

Coming from a roundy round guy from prehistoric times.

Having not anymore the original engine that's something I was made from the begining ;), using parts from here and there which you already have... and will help on clean up a bit what you have spreaded around LOL.

That 400 230 casting is really interesting, but being complete and now non matching from the car, will keep it just a side for a better opportunity

Once again one is reminded to not be chicken counting. This 230 block doesn't have the thick main webs.

Let me know if you find a 727 with VIN of 147119!

I want the antlers-unless they go on the hood :)
Antlers? What antlers?

Taking the .010" under main and standard rod journal forged 440 crank and turning down the counter weights .120" in radius.

With the mains cut to 400 size and the .030" over bore we'll have 450ci.

Looks like the 346 heads are going to need a little work. Did you know that Richard Petty once said that the 346 was his favorite head?

There was an order mistake about 12 years ago and I never found a place for these 11/32 stem 2.20/1.84 valves. Looks like they have a home finally. Here they are along side the 2.08/1.74 valves that came out of the heads.
