Ok I about ready to do the top half of my sound deadener and I am wondering about how to do the body sides. I'll probably put a few strips inside the doors, but there is no way I'll be able to reach in to do a complete job on the door and quarter panels. So?supposing I go on the acessable area being the interior of the doors and quarters.
Do I cover the entire area? that would make it impossible to service the regulators without cutting a bunch out, and it would not be supported and may sag and cause problems.
Do I put it on the inside of the door and kick panels? I don't yet know the potential downside to that is.
The reason for doing it is more for heat reduction than sound, but sound is a consideration.
I will be doing the whole roof and floor and probably use an extra heat mat materian above the tunnel and exhaust, that is a job for later though.
All opinions will be appreciated.
Thank You.

sup jess.....sounds like youre in the exact same quandry that i was in a few months ago. i wanted my car quiet and rattle free....but..... i didnt know how to go about it so.....i commenced 'ta reasearchin' . theres stuff that ya gotta glue on,,,and theres stuff that has a sticky backing on it. i opted out of both for the very same reasons....FUTURE MAINTENANCE. being that i dont drive my car unless the barometer says i can.... and the temperature is ideal...i canned the whole idea. i found alot of deadening materials on where else?....EBAYYYYY. a few strips here and there i doubt will solve your problem...but...it cant hurt. good luck in this endeavour and i hope it doesnt turn into a mess for ya ! good luck !

YOU CAN GO WITH STUFF CALLED "LIZARD SKIN". It is available with a sprayer or you can brush it on. I think Summit has it. Good luck.

Amen, Brother, Amen

btw, ta reasearchin' you did, was it dahntahn?? :D

I've heard of using spray on bed liner....but I'm usually one to pull out all the factory crap that I can and just paint it. I've found so much rust under the undercoating and even some under the stuff the factory sprayed in the backside of the doors and panels etc!
