Sound deadening for trunk

Keep in mind a lot of the products don't recommend covering EVERYTHING, instead use patches of it.Thats what I saw when I read up on it a few years back anyway. If you do it that way trapped moisture is less of an issue.

So did you just change the newspaper at a regular interval after it absorb condensation etc?
Yes. I’ve been preserving these cars for decades by avoiding trapped moisture.

How often do you change out the paper? I'm open to trying that on some of my cars that sit a long time and seem to get moist inside.

It really depends on how you’re using the car. When I was driving vintage Imperials as daily drivers, I changed the paper after every drive in rain. Much like a diaper, sorry for that, but accurate comparison. On my current GTX, I’ve only changed after two trips to Carlisle, when I got caught in thunder storms.

The paper works as an effective buffer when the car sits in my insulated garage. I check it regularly, but never had to change it, if the car encountered no rain.
