Thought I'd ask for suggestions or what some might have done tapping their innovative talents to build enclosures and mount speakers in their rides. I have a '63 Fury vert and got a couple of smaller speakers (around 2"x3") for adding some sound. I dropped the speakers that were once in the rear panels since being a vert, top down or up, couldn't hear them anyway. My idea is to mount them somewhere in the front such as below the dash in an enclosure that wouldn't look too weird. Maybe beneath the space below the radio suspended in an enclosure almost like guys have done adding extra gauges (just what I'm tossing around right now). I don't want to cut up my door or kick panels and there's zero room behind the left kick panel as it is with all the harnesses there. Anyway - if ya have done something like this or have thoughts, appreciate what you might have to share. Thanks!

I have a 64 Fury that's a radio delete car but love my tunes when driving. I loaded all my music on my cell phone and bought a couple bluetooth speakers for under the front seat. Door panels cost way to much to destroy them with speakers, I'm sure you could mount them under the dash too.....

Thanks - I did make some cases for the 6" speakers I had and placed them below the buckets; but not much gained. Could be I'd need to install an amp; but the Hermosa retro radio I'd have thought should be stout enough. Fighting a convertible could be an exercise in insanity, lol.

I've seen custom kick panels built from fiberglass to house speakers. Just aim them at the front seat occupants.

That could be cool. My guess is the panel would need to be outset for room for speakers...on my car there's so much wiring and harnessing behind the left panel (I've only added to this cluster-eff with wiring in my console) it would have to be something like this...

Some mount two on a custom plate in the front dash speaker grille. Years ago someone made this for me. It was made for a 69 b-body. Not sure what your speaker size is.

Here's kind of what I was pondering on. Mounting the (2) speakers below the radio (yellow boxed area) on a plate or in a box with a mesh cover of some sort to make it look decent since I don't have any covers for the speakers. There's an open area there above the console I installed and wired in with the light indicator bar and two gauges plus my essential cup holders (not shown in the photo as that insert came later where the black triangular tray is).

With a convertible, you really need a sub if you want to hear any bass.
I have the bracket as shown above in my'69 Coronet with two 3.5" speakers. It is OK for replacing the original speaker, but the speakers are too close to each other to here "stereo". I also have two 6.5" Round speakers in the rear side panels. I know, it's a Mopar sin to put holes in them, but they were in pretty bad shape to begin with. With a sub in the trunk, sound is OK. I think two more 3.5" speakers near the front window pillers would really help stereo seperation.

The Hermosa radio is bluetooth ready that I never setup, so will explore this first now. Thanks much.

I bought 2- 6.5 "speaker pods that I was going to mount on my kick panel or at the bottom of my door panel & ended up not needing them. The 2 -3" kicker speakers in the dash are awesome and plenty for the front. I have them hooked up to my Retrosound radio that is 25wx4.
Mounted my 6x9s in my tray, had pods for those too but didnt use them either, I'm not a vert or a 63.
I'll let you have them (6x9 pods) for $30 shipped, I sold the 6.5" but here is the link for them.

Well my Hermosa bt isn't compatible with wireless speakers. I have speakers that are 6" that I took out of the rear cuz couldn't hear them and setting them up under the seats didn't work out either. So was looking at finding a spot in the front for more speakers. Not many options unless putting them in the doors or kick panels, but the latter is very limited unless finding some way to customize those aside from not wanting to cut the panels.

Do you have a 4x7 center speaker? I bought the adaptor for 2 - 3 " & they are awesome. They also make a powered sub 6" up to 8" that will fit under the seat.
Check this out it may work for you
