I carried a correct date code NOS Carter AVS in the trunk of Baby Blue for years. It was my comeback for the no car nit pickers who dissed me on the Holley street avenger.

Turbine68rt has it on his Charger now.

I'll have that until I'm a pile of dust in a box. Had a full show resto done to it and only use it for Carlisle duty. Still have my original 4429, but your NOS one was hard to beat.

he drove a 68ish Firebird, fast car....... I actually like those cars.

Anyway, his quarter panels needed to be replaced....... and for years, like 10 or more, and likely to this day; he drove around with quarter skins in his trunk!...... he would pop the trunk and show them off.......like "Look, I have the quarters, I just have to put them on"........ stuff like this amuses me to no end

A buddy of mine carried his six-pack setup around in the trunk of his 'Bee like that.
Never did install it, but he really liked telling people he "had a six-pack"...what a foolio!
Good guy actually...but "a little touched in the head" fits him perfectly!

Talking about 428s I knew a guy. Lol. Local nut here couple years older than me had a 69 Nova and had stuck a late 60s 428 pontiac and 4 speed in it, 4:11s were in it.
That car was a fast street car for the time.
