Torn, I have brought home a rear set of speakers, I have not heard of manufacture "DUAL" they are 6x9 3-way 150watt, because my car is called blue thunder my wife thought the cool blue light that comes from them maybe good. Oh I got a good price because of store error. But the JVC 6x9 3-way 310 Watt sound better even with my tin ear, these were $20 more. Question should I go for the lower priced pair or go with the better sound. I believe the watts are the blowing up range from what I have read. What's everyone opinion?

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, go for the quality speaker (JVC in this case)

Feed it a good amp even though you may never turn it up that high.

Get the JVC. Dual is cheap, but not great. Higher watts means you can run power amps and not worry about popping speakers. The wattage is the load max they can handle, but its a bit over rated.

I hate Dual the stuff is crap and the customer service really stinks..ya ask me how I know LOL. Forget whats looks good and go with a better quality speaker you won't reget it.
