Since my 65 Belvedere is missing one from its LA-904(swapped in later)

I was wondering what type (1 or 2) that it uses.

I know that I have to use a 29/30 if its a type one or a 32 if type 2.

It's a year dependent thing. What type of cable does it have?

Early style cables like in your car can order the pinion gear from Mopar or Year One.

Later styule cables, in example like my Magnum or Cordoba use a short style pinion gear.

thats what gets me.

The original cable is still installed, but I have a new one. I have no issue if I have to switch. I just want to make sure of the speedometer gear before I buy it from TCI.

What type of cable?
Does it push into the speedo or is it held on with a clip at the speedometer pinion gear?
