Hi all
Been checking out some relocation kits, are there any specific ones anyone could recommend for a 63 polara? From what I've read they move the springs inboard 3"? Is this correct... Which would make the pad centres at 41"
Can anyone confirm this who's done it?
Just wanting to know as I've acquired a Dana 60 thats 53.15" from drum face to drum face....and it'd allow me a much bigger tyre. Cheers in advance fellow mopar lovers...

I am not certain which brand of relocation kit this is but here is a pic of my 63. The tire is 31x14. I can get some measurements if that would help you.

Thanks Greg, much appreciated. Spring centre to spring centre would a great help if you could measure it for me...no hurry:icon_pidu:

I used offset hangers and brackets this moves springs in 3/4", your spring clearance and tube clearance is about he same when done.
If you are not going to tub it, moving the spring to the frame you will not gain any thing more than offset hangers and brackets

This is my 65. I think the relocation kit came from Mancini. Moved the springs into the frame rails.

Don't put the spring pads on until the frame work is done. Small differences depending on where the front spring boxes are located. Most important make sure the rear of the car is supported in at least 3 places on each side, shimmed and dead level. Your door gaps will thank you.

I was alone in the shop tonight so could not get center to center. From outside to outside was 39.25 inches (99.69 cm) and the springs were 2.5 inches wide (6.35 cm).

Thanks guys gives me a rough idea, should be able to fit the shortened Dana 60.

I just did my 65. Us car tool makes a kit for early b bodies now. I just bought the front hangers. These bolt in then you line them up true and weld.

Takes a lot of guess work out.

Hopefully these are turned correctly

I was looking at US Car Tool... it shows a 62-65 Dodge kit, and it states they have a different kit for the Plymouths, but the Plymouth kit is 66 and up. What would be different about the Plymouth kit? I like the US Car Tool kit a little better, even though it's a bit more than the Mopar Perf kit, which states it fits 65 Dodge and 63-65 Plymouth Belvedere/Savoy/Satellite (and up).

The mp kit doesn't have the holes drilled. So it's a bit more universal.
Us car tool does have an early Plymouth kit. You have to call them

Dodge and Plymouth have different wheel bases so the holes us car tool drills are in different spots between Plymouth and dodge

The us car tool kits are also thicker steel.

I am curious to ask why you are moving the springs ? Not trying to be smart but I was just curious if you are doing it for the looks of the bigger tires or for the performance part of the bigger tires for good hook ? I only ask because depending on how fast you want to go you can get good hook on tires that fit in the stock wheelwell. Course you may just want the awesome look of the bigger tire ? Or is it a race car that will need a very big tire ? I have seen stock eliminator cars running easy 9's on just 9" slicks. I have stock wheelwells and only run a 9" tire but thats all I need for good hook running 10's. But as I said I am not trying to be smart or anything I guess I am just wandering how you will be using the car going to bigger tires. Thanks and good luck. Ron

I've acquired a Dana 60 thats 53.15" from drum face to drum face..

I've only got a certain amount of room to put the spring hangers on because of the narrowed diff, and it won't fit with the springs in the original spot...

Forgot to add, the original spring centers being 44" and I need them to be around 40-41" to make this diff fit otherwise I'll just stay with the original 8 3/4 or go with a 9" that I also have, decisions...

2 1/2" will work if memory serves correct according to TTI exhaust. I have recently been told and have seen pictures of 3" TTI tail pipe sections used with stock gas tanks and relocated springs/ mini tubs. Some clearance issues where addressed including bending of the gas tank flange and shimming the hangers. I'm going to try to use the 3" tail pipe sections myself, hope it works.
