Steering box shaft size

I bought a reman steering box from Summit, when I went to install the pitman arm it won't fit. Took some measurements and appears to be about 1/8 bigger diameter on the new shaft. Bolted right in the frame OK. Turns out it is for 71 and up. Does anyone know if a 71 pitman arm has the same geometry as a 62-70 arm? The correct box is on nationwide BO. If the arms are the same I might go that route.

I've been told yes*, and the 71-79(or whenever) pittman and idler arms are cheaper than the older ones. One of my buds is a Chrysler dealership parts guy, and he said I'd need a 71 and up (*or was it 73 and up?) arm to run the box from my 87 5th Ave in my 66.

It is 73 and up. Called Steer and Gear today and got some part nos. for 73+ arms, shaft dia. 1 1/2" vs 68-72 shaft dia.1 1/8". Now trying to find one and return the new 68 when it gets here. Thanks for the help.
