Over the last few weeks, twice now when trying to start the Dodge there has been nothing on turning the ignition. A fiddle with starter relay, tap of starter etc has got it going both times so presume it is a sticking solenoid or similar.* I don't want to get stuck somewhere though so any suggestions as to the most appropriate fix before it happens again? This is for a big block. Thanks.

Would be an expensive starter if it turns out not to be the starter motor - such as fault with relay, neutral safety switch etc........hence why I thought I'd ask for others experience.

test and eliminate components till you find the bad one
clean and check connections
good luck

if you can hear the relay click then it should be okay, after the connections are checked and still the problem it is the starter, generally when you have to tap the starter to get it to run it is usually the fault. good luck, if you end up needing a new one i am currently selling a cvr high torque starter if you need it but that will be in another post
