Station wagon

I guess if you mean bulletproof as in the casing would stop a .22, I would agree. :) This car's value is 96% in nostalgia, so the seller should really be looking for someone who used to make family roadtrips in one of these and wants to relive them.

Our few roadtrips were accomplished with a 56 Chevy wagon. The only thing that appeals to me about this one is the absolutely primo condition and the low mileage. but not really excited about it being a 1987, that's almost a "new" car. I do like wagons, but the 1960's, like this one that I should not have sold.

They're a heavy car! It will make a two post hoist grunt all the way up! That's where they get the term "boat" because it feels like driving one on land!

It looks like it's in great shape, nice vacation car with provisions in the back and everything else strapped on top!

With an advertised curb weight of 4032, still lighter than a new Challenger. :)

I would not invest in a vehicle manufactured in the decade of the '80's, too many compromises made on the motor/smog tuning.

Does it have the electronically controlled carburetor?

They're great when they work right but worse than lean burn when they don't.

I agree 4.5K is high. I'd go 3... maybe.

You should be able to find a 70's version just as nice for that kind of cash.

...in fact there was a 75-ish LTD wagon over here last year with the original paint (bronze) and low mileage. Only rust was bottom of spare tire well. Couldn't move it for 3K and it was listed for months and months.
