Steering Column Coupler 68 Coronet

I'm told there is just a pin that needs to be banged out and then it can be removed easily ..manual steering ..need to order kit ..anything else here I need to know about removal

Roll pin on bottom of coupling holds coupler to steering box. Shaft that it attaches to is splined. Has column or steering box already been removed? In the following link post #4,#9, you will find info to help with proper reinstall to center end of shaft in coupler, shim info etc.

No column or box has not been removed ..didn't know ..do I just remove the the column at the dash to make room to remove coupler

If it's not OEM correct and a modified car,you might concider the Flaming River joint,,,,,
