Have my car (65 Belvedere) apart in a million pieces and can't find the bolts that attach the steering column support plates to the firewall. I think they are 5/16" bolts and it looks like they had 1" washers on them but I seem to remember them having a serrated tip or square end or something odd. Anyone have a picture of the bolts I should be looking for or even a spare set to part with?

Does this help?

Thanks for the pics, your stuff is apart the same as mine. In the second pic, where the column goes through the big hole in the firewall, I'm looking for the bolts that hold the flat plate around the column to the firewall. The larger plate and bolts are removed in the photo, but you get the idea. Thanks

I took a million photos and "taged & bagged" everything when I disassembled my car. It just a matter of finding the photo and bag.
This should help.

That does help a lot, thank you very much. I took a bunch of pictures and bagged stuff too, but didn't start until I was already part way into the disassembly. By the time I realized the volume of different fasteners I would have I had already forgotten where some of it belonged. Thanks a million

Good to know because I can't find mine anywhere. I know what came off the car was the same as in 65AFX's pictures based on the marks left where they were, but I'm not finding anything with those big washers. Having a good time digging through boxes of parts looking though.

Most column hardware is the same all the way up through M body 5th Ave.

That includes the unique plastic spacers/sliders, bolts with thick, captive star washers, and super short bracket to column bolts.

I'd bet the ones you are looking for are the same, too.

That would be a super easy u-pull score for probably under $5.

...and they'd be "OEM".
