I’m reading this as to imply... How about a 23 spline? Are you bolting up slicks and going racing, Ed?

Obviously that decision has long since been made, but thanks.I’m reading this as to imply... How about a 23 spline? View attachment 702598
I use a wooden dowel for that.....One trick is to cut a counter shaft down just so it will fit inside the trans, use this to load your roller bearings, install in place and push the useable counter shaft thought. This keeps the bearings in place
This is the "famous" gift transmission another member sent me free a few years back out of the kindness of his heart. He didn't know the condition, had been sitting under a bench for a long time, the same one that started raising a fuss going down the road. Are you still having problems with your current 4 speed? I thought it was just thread chasing one of the mounting holes and you'd be back at it. That 23 spline is mighty heavy duty if you're keeping street tires. The A833 is on par with the Ford top-loader and much stronger than the aluminum case Muncies and B/W T-10s GM used for years. Even if you have to heli-coil a mounting hole you're still good...
Personal preference, mainly. That and the wonky pedal position.Gotcha...What's going on with the Centerforce?
Ah, the one FBBO member not worn out with all my posts and pictures!I see know where in the ad so I guess I will ask..What year car do you need it for?

The one in my photo garage, my '68 GTX.
Doesn't matter - I have both transmission crossmembers covered, thanks to Dan Brewer. I can install the '69-back or the '70-up B&E dual pattern ones.
Thanks!
As it says over thereWhere are you located? I have one that I would consider getting rid of.
Much appreciated.Lol. Yeah there is too much to see on this site and Most every Mopar guy I know never has just one!! Good luck in your search. I have a friend that has some 4 speeds he may want to sell. I will get in touch. I am Glad I stocked up on 4 speed stuff for my cars a few years back...
