Het guys im still haveiung a no spark issue with my 73 roadrunner 318 auto with mopar performance ecm and msd coil. IM checking for spark right off the coild and nothing I am curious what should I see for voltage on the positive side of the coil in the run position. and I also read possibly the coil pickup could be bad and I should ohm check it does anyone know what it should read and how I should perform this test. thanks and oh yeah brand new ballast resister installed already as well and when i crank the car I get one spark when i turn the ignition switch back to the off position.

you should get 12 volts cranking to the positive side of the coil. i'd guess that either the ECU is not grounded properly or the ballast resistor is bad.

Ballast resister is brand new just bought a new one didn't make a difference.

Thinking about trying a new distributor pick up coil does anyone know of a way to test this part

I tested my pickup coil for resistance and I got nothing. I then turned on the ignition on and ran a jumper between the two connectors on the harness going to the distributor and every time I jumped it I got a spark on my spark tester off the coil. So I ordered a pick up coil I hope that's it.

Well I fixed it it was the pick up coil in the distributor I couldn't wait till tomorrow so I stole the one out of my new mopar performance distributor I bought for the 440 I'm building and she fired right up.
