Too bad I don't know any.

I didn't tell the story of this stuff. Boulevard Brewing took some of their wheat beer and had Foundry Distilling here in Iowa turn it into whiskey. The crazy thing is that the beer yeast they use for wheat beer gives the distillate a banana/clove nose and flavor. Other than those flavors that come and go as you taste, it is a very smooth single malt sip. Nice and fun.
Following this thread is starting to cost me money. I'm moving so everything is in boxes, except I keep this in the freezer.

I used to like that. We took a couple bottles on our Lewis & Clark m/c trip to MT in 98. They changed it a while back and now its too sweet for me.Following this thread is starting to cost me money. I'm moving so everything is in boxes, except I keep this in the freezer.

One to open and enjoy and one to keep sealed. I'll get right on that.Hope you bought two bottles.. as I'm on my way over...
Hey @toolmanmike I need a recommendation. I need to buy a gift bottle of bourbon for my KW service manager, but I don't want to break the bank. It also needs to be available at my state ABC store. One to open and enjoy and one to keep sealed. I'll get right on that.
Buffalo Trace would be a good choice.Hey @toolmanmike I need a recommendation. I need to buy a gift bottle of bourbon for my KW service manager, but I don't want to break the bank. It also needs to be available at my state ABC store.
Not as smooth as I expected. Cool collector bottle none the less. It is a Kentucky Bourbon which is naturally a little harsh and not a lot of complexity. Good but not exceptional as far as I am concerned. Not quite with the seal of approval. LOLScored a bottle of Blanton's today. It's allocated so a little tough to come by.
Update: good thing I ran right over for a bottle. 5 bottles sold in 2 hours. I bet they wished they could have bought a few more cases.
