I want to block off the stove pipe hole in a dual snorkel air cleaner as I’m not going to use the stove pipe and I would like to keep warmer air from the headers out. Any idea’s on how to do this. @kiwigtx duck tape is not a solution.

Oil filter cap from an old Tractor?

Similar to the breather caps on early V8's. Similar ID possibly.

I don’t have any old tractors laying around.
Measure the OD of the stove pipe fitting at the manifold, and go to a Tractor Supply shop and see what they have.

Don't forget to tell them you have a Plymouth John Deere with a 400ci V8, and it was a special edition model with bucket seats.

What are the ID and OD?

Spitballing:
1) high temperature silicone cap or plug.
2) expanding foam

Here is a vinyl one. You should be able to find something in high temp silicone.

The stove pipe inlet is next to the snorkel inlet. So, I'll have to ask you this question. Do you think it's going to make any difference ?

Probably not. I originally thought in my head the opening pointed down, and then when asked to post pics I realized it wasn’t, but it was too late to delete the thread.

It's not a bad thought, it's practicality is whether it's worth the bother. You got a beautiful air cleaner, I'd leave it as is. ( Ya gotta be a car guy to describe an air cleaner as beautiful  !! )

Anti-rodent cap/plug. :p

That’s the ticket right there. Now if I can just find one in hemi orange.

Also remember if the vacuum valve is not connected it will remain shut from the stove pipe inlet.

Are you sure about that. I thought the butterfly valve sealed of the air inlet opening. It would be hard for a butterfly valve to seal the opening at the bottom of the tube, and still let air in the vent duct.

It is engine coolant operated. Cold engine, the diaphragm opens the valve allowing heated air into the air cleaner housing per the flap.
As the engine warms the sensor in the intake manifold closes vacuum to the diaphragm and heated air is closed off allowing snorkel air to enter.
I just had to replace the sensor in the intake on my 88 Ram. It really doesn't seal as much as diverts air.
