Street Outlaws

Not sure of the channel, time or night. I was flipping through the channels and only caught the second half. I didn't pay attention. They didn't claim to be the fastest. They just liked to street race. They raced right in the middle of town. They just about hit a semi trailer that turned in front of one of them.

I watched it,why dont they just go to the track, they can make the bets and keep it quiet,it would be alot safer than racing on the street.

Ya, bring those punks around here...ill introduce them to the "wiseguys." those guys run REAL street cars. they DRIVE them to the race and run 6.90's.

Mar;I've heard about some of the Chi-Town crowd. I know there's a couple of legit low 7-second Detroit cars around-that get driven, and up here in Flint, there's a couple of legit, driven low 8-second cars. That get driven. I see them during Back To The Bricks week and out at Lapeer Dragway. Those OK boys are only running 1/8th mile runs;we run FULL quarters around here.

Something else...don't these cats have any wider effing roads? Is everything a two-laner there?

It is funny to see people call these guys dumb a&& and their cars are junk.... I am sure I can get in touch with big chief if one of yall want run one of them on the street to prove that they are slow.

Pieces of **** and no one said they were slow.. I said most of them cant drive and their cars are pieces of ****.. Get it straight.. anyone can spray or boost a motor... they haven't done a thing that hasn't been done to death already but he fact they are morons and have the audacity to call their cars the fastest street cars .... yes I am calling them out on that stupid ****... you don't trailer a street car you fcking drive it all day and night and race it under the same conditions you drive it under in normal traffic.... Oh wait guys I have to go fill my bottle or get some race gas in it so I can up the boost..... horse **** is what that is plain and simple horse **** !

LOL... I take it to the track... I don't like the premise of the show but the guys on it are taking moronic banter to the extreme. So they get what they get and deserve every bit of it :)

I like watching the show but feel that it sends the wrong message about street racing!
Being 90 mlies from the closest track theres already a serious street racing problem here on Long Island (me being one of the perpatrators :head_smack:)
Its just another reason for cops to break the balls of anybody driving what they consider a "racecar" on the street

All that aside I like the Farm truck cuz its realy driven on the street and the El camino cuz its a bunch of "junk" that somehow is fast as hell

We got the same **** here in Houston, only difference here is your car must be registered/inspected/AC/etc if you want to be on the ladder. Goes back to the age old argument of exactly WTF is a street car.

I know I have a 4700lb wagon that would love to rip a hole in that farm trucks ***.

Sounds like someone here has car envy... It is ok that you cannot outrun them.. Don't feal bad about that.. I can't either...

I know its hokey and make believe. Wish the cussin was cut. I watch because it reminds me of my youthful days. Lots of street racing ect ect. Even had a regular street racing Tues Night meeting that grew to cars coming from 100 miles away. I passed the line at over 100 the night the police raided and shut it down. I ran and spent the night in a farm field--11 inch slicks really helped. Since I had a distintive 34 Ply street rod, Caddy powered, I knew they would find me.
The car was in gray primer Tues Night and by Thur morning it was red primer--I worked in a paint and body shop. Thur they showed up at work. "Who Me??" Must have been the gray car next town over!

My son's a cop and I havn't told him the story to this day.

Love the Farm Truck with the pizza sign blowing off at 120.

Cool story...

Are you guys seeing these "Top-10 clubs" show up in your cities now? I know there's one in Denver that's being put together the last couple weeks. All you need are tags to be considered "street', LMFAO!

I agree about some people's ridiculous idea of what a "street car" is in some places. Like including full tube-frame & plastic, lexan, slicked, barebones metal interior, narrowed rear, can barely idle, can barely turn, and $100k+ budget, as still a "street car". Get a grip. I aint sayin' they're slow, but my idea of a "street car" is way different. Guess it's all semantics though, right? (so don't shoot me.)

IMHFO if you drive on the street, it's a street car, regardless of the build style, all the rest is personal opinions & semantics.... not all "street cars" fit the same mold... it's not that easy, to pigeon hole every ride into a certain category... But different strokes for different folks....

The heads-up guys here at Bandimere had a cool idea on how to tackle that issue of semantics for a "street grudge style" match, a couple years ago. Just needed to be street legal w/ tags, lights, signals, mufflers, at least DOT-legal radial tires, (but "street slicks" like ET Streets or MT SR's were fine), & at least two seats. The kicker was all entries had to go on a 5-mile "cruise" around the area, before the race, and absolutely no trailers. Forgot all the details exactly.

Not sure who/what showed up in the end. Now, that seemed more reasonable than "anything goes", JMO. Yes, different semantics for different folks. :)

If the car can't be legally driven on the street, it's not a street car!!!

The problem with that is how many of us (who actually "street" race or use to), have LEGAL exhaust? I know a lot of classic guys do. But most guys I know with modern rides (incl. myself) don't have cats, and definitely don't legally pass emissions tests. We just do a bunch of tricks or work-arounds to get our "legal" tags, hahaa.

"Colorado Street Outlaws", 9/14/13:

https://www.facebook.com/ColoradoStreetOutlaws?hc_location=stream

There's several of these Street Outlaw sights popping up for obvious reasons!! it's a way to get everyone bit more organized and inspired at same time, judging by rules of these "events" some on street, airports, tracks and so on the RULES of the game are simple.. DOT tires, tags, functioning lights on both ends and that's it!!! How does that settle out w/ the Col crew???
They got a spot, and are taking money for a purse.

Caught the latest episode of Street Outlaws the other night. They set up an Oaklahoma vs. Texas shootout. Not a bad episode and good races overall. Glad to see the piece of crap El Camino won again!
