I drug this car home, it needs floors, brakes, fuel line and of course motor/trans... Thinking about doing a little street car that will see the track. Spent some time buffing the old paint, gonna keep it the way it is... Just thought I would share. Last pic is from one of my other cars...

I'm surprised by how many wagons are still out there. I'm getting my 63 on the road this Spring. Very cool example you have there, good luck.

Nice to find an old wagon that is mostly there. Look to be in decent shape. Have fun with it.

Nice start.

But then again I am biased.

I just got my Wagon back on the road over the weekend.

Did you buy that in Arizona?
You can easily make it look like mine (that I recently sold......and wish I hadn't!)

What ET are you shooting for?

What engine?

Trans?

Rear axle?

You know the wheelbase is the same as a 2 door sedan. Its all rear overhang.

11.50? 440/727, Dana 60, spool, 4.10 gear maybe?

I just got mine roadworthy and will get it to the track in the next couple of months. My combination is a 440 with lightly ported Stealth Aluminum heads, 10.6:1 compression, Hughes mechanical flat tappet cam [email protected] performer RPM intake, 800 holley, 727- Manual valve body, 3000 stall, Dana 60 with 4.10 posi. And some Hoosier Quick Time Pro DOT Drag tires. Not sure of the weight of the car... I will get a weight on it soon. I feel that it should run high 11's. .. but ultimately slow it down to run some street class brackets with a 12.0 limit.

I can't wait to get this thing out to the track and see what I have to start with.

Thats nice as wagons are cool. It wont take to much to get it in the 11's. Think about a mild stroker as thats what I did for my street/strip car. I used to run a mild 440 with the MP .557 cam and 906 heads I ported. It had a Holley SD intake and the 850 DP. It ran a best of 11.49 @ 116 in my 3700 lb 63. Now I have a mild 493 stroker that drives and runs great on 92 pump and I use the same converter , gears and carb on it and it picked me up to 10.70's. Build a stroker and take advantage of the extra torque for that cool wagon. Ron

I'm in the process with a 63 Belvedere moor door .Same as you, just sand and buff the old paint, rebuild the suspension, stick a 440 in and have a nice street/bracket driver. Car came from Tucson Az with a Mexican old school tuck & roll velour seats and door panels. Consensus here is "Leave it as is".
