I currently have a 6 quart oil pan on my charger but it rubs the drag link when installed. I’m building a 440 stroker for it as we speak and I want to get a 6 quart pan that will fit the car correctly. I have no clue what pan came off the car but I know it’s not fitting correctly and has rub marks in it. I also can see it’s deeper and is some type of added quantity pan. Anyone suggest a decent 6 quart that will fit OK? I’m reading about the hemi oil pan but everything I see says that that uses the 402 pan which I thought was five quarts.

Just measured my pan and its over 2.5" at the front by the drag link. No wonder it doesn't fit. Anyone got the pan and pickup P/N# for the Hemi style that will fix my issue?

440 Source has them...

Also looking at this setup. Been kicking around running a windage tray. Seems like it is a good idea so might grab this combo.

For me, I'd just "clearance" the pan with a hammer & piece of pipe if the interference isn't that bad.

If buying new, make SURE you order the pan & pickup from the same company since some combinations aren't compatible (all "six pack" pans & oil pickups are not the same)….ask me how I know this.:(

I like to run windage trays myself. I think your Milodon kit looks like a good choice. I have that pan/pickup but I'm using a "stock-type" windage tray.

Just ordered the Milodon setup as well as a couple of their crushproof gaskets. Should serve me well and work better than the half assed fitting pan that was on the car before. I am building a complete stroker 500in motor for it so I don't wanna scrimp on it.
