I'd like to hear recipes/recommendations for a 440 in Roadrunner (71-74) capable of sub 13 1/4 and great street manners - power adders okay. Thanks.
 
Blueprint the motor, retard the stock (or better yet Bob's) cam, six pack, 4.10s. You're there
 
Yeah, won't take much. Most important is don't get talked into over building it. Start with a stock rebuild to 68/69 specs and quality parts. I'd like to add pocket porting heads and a proper valve job would be in your favor. Watch your compression / cam combo especially if you retard the cam. Don't blow off too much cylinder pressure. Bolting on a set of 915 heads will help boost compression if you retard the cam or put in something bigger.

Six pack, 780 Holley, Torker, Performer RPM all good.
 
Dang - 4.10's , do I have to ? Maybe for a day at the strip then back to cruisin gears.
