I was at a pre-garage sale and saw 2 of these machines for testing Starters and Alternators plus more. The photo posted here is from google. Both units for sale came with the carts, in good shape and I believe all parts. Anyone have insight, thoughts or values/usefulness?

IMO...
EXCELLENT find, especially if the price is right.....and only you can make that determination.
They are a good shop tool to have available to LOAD TEST battery and charging systems. They may even be able to test current draw of the starter motor and solenoid during cranking. You would be surprised to see just how much current the starter draws....approximately 400-500 amps while cranking with high compression or thick oil... Perhaps $50-75 may be a good price.

I was able to acquire the 2 Sun Volt & Amp testers for $50 a piece with the carts. The table full of tools will also be added to my growing collection.
This shopping trip came about by happenstance. A fellow mentioned his mechanic Father-in-Law passing away a year ago and that the garage had a lot of stuff still inside. Just a stranger, who’s not a stranger anymore. The Father-in-Law lived in a town with 175 people.
I’ll be testing one machine out soon.

EXCELLENT FIND.....many useful tools . The Sun testers are old but look to be fully functional. Try looking on line for "how to use" information. Be careful when using the battery load testing unit because of the the high current the battery can produce.

There was one instruction manual that is rough. It has, maybe, cigarette burns through the first few pages. Thanks for the warning!
