I had someone tell me recently that Superbirds were not available with AM 8 track radio option. Thought this didn't seem right. Were only am or am/fm radios offered in the SB?

I’d think if you wanted it why not, it’s a base road runner but will start looking closer at these cars and Daytonas

I dont think you could get a rear speaker in one. But am not aware of radio restrictions?????

Rear speaker was optional on all 3 radios types.

My 70 Road Runner Convt is an AM/8-track car, with no place to put a rear speaker (fyi)

To the best of my knowledge the 8-track radio or rear speaker were NOT available on Superbirds.
This is based on the original factory ordering information that was sent to the dealers.
The announcement clearly states options that are not available to order on Superbird models, including R31 (rear speaker) and A04 (basic radio group).
The only way that an 8-track radio could be ordered is part of the A04 (basic radio group), it could not be ordered as a separate option.

C_B5 I see the A04 package was not available based on your attachment. Are you suggesting the R22 option (AM 8 track radio) was also not available on Superbird?
