that's different for sure...

That car is a very cool piece of Musclecar history and is a perfect example of what racing and hotrodding was meant to be. I hope the new owners leave that car exactly as they found it and just get it running to show it off at tracks around the country. Unfortunately the purists on both sides will not like it because of the mixture of parts but I think its cool.

That chebbie body sure did slow it down alot.

Dont be such a glass half empty kind of guy, look at as the motor made the body faster than it otherwise would have been.
Seriously though. That thing is cool. I love stuff like that. Its a time capsule that proves just how great the car scene and racing was.

Wow!
What a find!
Yeah, this is a MOPAR site but that aint no Camaro OR Chevelle!
It's neat!

I didnt mean to be.....it just ran 12s. It's super cool. I like it. It wouldda gone 10s in a 63 Plymouth. lol

Great story! I hope the new owner keeps the car exactly like it is. Washing it is OK, but not much more! Reminds me of an old time local racer who has a 440 in a 55 Chevy wagon.

Very cool, now to the ?, would it be alowed at the MOPAR Nat;s, or any MOPAR show. I for one would like to see it at them.

I have been to all mopar cruises and as long as the car is mopar powered it was allowed in so I don't see why that 57 Chevy would not be allowed in the Nats especially with it's history. There were some mopar powered chevys in the nats past.

Glad to hear that everyone is enjoying my wife and i newest find ..The plan for the car is go thought the brakes ,rubber hoses ,rebuild the Holleys and maybe wash it .We hope to have it out for the public to see and enjoy since it spent the last 40 years hidden ..
My wife is a member or the Delaware Valley mopar club and were may be bring it up to Maple Grove raceway for the MOPAR show ..
We can't wait to hear the 13:1 426 max wedge motor fire back to life ..

For the record the car ran Mid 10s the 12 sec time slip was the only one we found in the car .12s is what the car ran with the 413 in it.

Your car is possibly one of the coolest cars I've ever seen, just because I've always loved those 60s-70s drag cars and the witty names.
Good to see you're going to bring it back to its heyday.

that is a cool belair i wounder how many people put mopar motors in belairs because there is a 55 near here with a 383 and 4 speed from a 70 roadrunner
