Is it a good idea to weld the LCAs reinforcement plates while still on the car. The car will be on a drive on lift. I don't see anything wrong with do this. Maybe by having the weight on them is good idea.
It should not make a difference while on the car or not, the weight of the car is applied in a vertical direction, the reinforcement plates just make it more solid to reduce the twisting and flexing which is mainly occuring when cornering the car.
It will just make the job hard for nothing.
