I have a 68 charger with power drum brakes. I have the spindles and brake caliper adapters from a 73+ A body. My car has the factory front sway bar and I've read if you mount the calipers forward facing they will hit the sway bar or you can swap the left and right spindle and mount the calipers toward the rear to alleviate this problem. If you do mount them toward the rear what brake hoses do you use and how do you route them. I've read the Mopar Action article Disc-o-Tech and they recommend not doing it. Has anyone done this modification and do you have any picture

It's very common to mount the calipers to the rear. You just need the right calipers and hoses.

disc brake hoses

you can use the 16 inch braided brake hose that are sold on ebay for about 40 dollars they come with brackets and clips good luck mopar joe

Mopar Joe do you have anymore information on E-Bay hoses? And what are the correct calipers to use?

caliber for 73/76 a bodys

go to any parts store and buy 73/76 mopar a body calibers for valiants the brake hoses are on ebay all the time they are banjo bolt to caliber and are 16 inch you cant mess up good luck

i had the same problem on my 72 challenger. i went to napa and got hoses for a 73 charger. they worked fine only mod i had to make was to turn the shock bolt around so it would not hit hose, if these won't work for you car look in their brake hose book, it has pics and dimensions. you should be able to find one that will work

Here's the list of parts you need to rear mount disk calipers on 66-70 b-body. The parts are cheap and work great.

The calipers part # are Cardone 18-4144 and 18-4145.
brakes hoses are BrakeBest
part # BH99069

If I have larger 11.75" rotors with a caliper adapter do you know if these calipers will still work? I am running wilwoods forged dyna lites and thinking about trying this caliper you list.

I'm running the 11.75 rotors on my 66 and these parts work great. These are for the sliders not the pin type calipers

How is the feel? Do they grab hard and snap your neck if you need it to or is it a gradual grab where you need to stand hard on them to brake quickly? My pin type wilwoods with bp10 pads don't grab hard. Neither did my master power brakes, but my single piston iron slider calipers did and I wish I would have kept them.
