I'm dead set on getting a T56 in my Charger this winter (funds permitting) but want to know if there are options for shaving the cost. I don't really have an issue with paying the $2,900 for the tranny (would love to find one cheaper though) but the cost of everything else is just ridiculous, hyd clutch setup, bellhousing, clutch set, etc, by the time your done your nearing $5,000 which is asinine. So anybody have any tips our suggestions??? Ideally I'd like to use common parts like a hyd setup from a production car, a Viper tranny, factory b body pedals, etc. Thanks for any suggestions.

As if your car wasn't making us all jealous enough already lol I'll be following this one though, T56 was in the end-goal for my jalopy, too. Tried any searches for Vipers being parted out yet? Or maybe a "search all craigslist" site?

I have been looking but don't want to jump into it until I get it figured out, I think you can use the Viper or Ford T56s but don't know the differences yet. I'm trying to avoid American Powertrain after the hosing they gave my buddy Kahn, they are the go to guys for this but they really don't like to help unless it's selling parts that take a year to get. Thanks for the kind words Speedy but I think we'll all be drooling once you get Frankenstein SUPERCHARGED.:headbang:
