Does anyone know if the dash tachometer sending unit used in a 66-67 charger is the same unit used in other B-body Mopars?

Yes but the last year was 1966 in other b-bodies. 1967 changed the wiring and no sender was needed.

Did charger tachs still have a sender in 1967?

1966 was the only year the Charger used a tach sending unit. All A,B, and C bodies used the same unit.

66 tach uses a separate sending unit under the glovebox on the forward dash frame. 67 tach board is mounted inside the tach and is the same board used in other A and B body Mopars from 67-74. Real Time Engineering makes outstanding electronic solid state replacements. They are the only boards I use in my gauge restoration business.
