Sorry if this isn't the right place for this post, but I didn't know where else to put it

I am redoing my tail lights on my Charger. I have the lens assemblies pulled apart and the lenses cleaned and polished. I am wondering what to do with the reflector pods. It looks like they are just painted silver on the inside, but are a little corroded. I plan to sand them smooth again, but am curious what I should paint the insides with.

Aluminum paint, or maybe the chrome paint. Brighter and shinier the better I assume. What have you guys used?

I've had friends use light colored argent on their grills when redoing them, it could be the same color for the bezzels or there is Krylon dull aluminum in a spray can that some use. I'm sure some one will chime in to help you.

I used high heat grill paint in silver. Very reflective and heat proof.

Here is what the chrome paint looks like on my 73 Roadrunner when I restored my tail lights. One taken with flash and one with out, you can see the reflections. I like the results. The lights are pretty bright.

I don't think it really matters as long as they are reflective to a point and the paint is bonded good to the plastic so it lasts longer than us! All above are great products and I bet Eastwood has a specific product. I have this article in print form and looked for it in the web. Covers a lot of the restoration!

That looks pretty good! One of mine is pretty clean, the other isn't bad but is pretty rough on one of the sides. I am planning to sand it out by hand to smooth it back out and I will shoot some new paint in there to brighten it up.

Thanks guys!

SPAZ STIX ultimate chrome worked great they have a black backer you spray first. You lightly buff it with a rag when its dry and it shines up nice. Closest thing to chrome I've seen

That's pretty cool. Can't believe a spray on chrome paint can look that good.
