That in car video is killer. Question.. Where are his pants, shoes, gloves, and neckbrace? Is that another loophole in the rules based on the class index similar to other rules they don't need to follow for the under 9.99-8.49 et's? Curious.

He was probably testing somewhere.

Super Stock racers dont have the same safety rules as bracket guys.

They dont have to have all of that stuff.

At least he's got the window net up! And the belts on!
To the "probably testing somewhere" comment someone else made- the R with a circle around it on the back window indicates a "record run". So the NHRA and track officials weren't paying attention. And would "testing" be a good excuse for not using safety equipment?
If I remember correctly in years past several "great" drivers lost their lives testing- Don Carlton and Lee Shepherd. I believe safety equipment or lack of it was involved in these instances.

iT SEEMS THAT ALL AH RACERS DONT WEAR ANY SAFETY EQUIPMENT.
lOOK AT Bob Reed, just jeans and cowboy boots.
Don't understand the logic knowing these cars are spinning these Hemi's up to 10,000 rpm's

And Reed has been known to use "alcohol" fuel additive to the driver @ times...:eusa_naughty::icon_surprised:
Don't ask me how I know please
