has anyone used teflon sealing rings in their 727 for street daily driver use? what would be the pro's and cons of teflon over the steel rings mother Mopar used? :iamwithstupid:
I know Teflon has a tendency to flow or take a set, which may not be good for that application. The iron rings have spring to them and will probably seal better over the long run.
thanks for the reply. my 727 kickdown servo iron rings were seized in the case. bore was good, replaced with a new iron and still wouldnt move. Replaced with a teflon and voila i have second gear again. Just hope it lasts. I'm tired of pulling trans and/or valve body. I used teflon on small bore but kept iron on large end of piston and guide.
