Ok something I will have to deal with eventually....The controls do not work very well and the car had A/C but the tubes that control the valves, is there a pump? were does it get its air from?

Electrically I can fix that but how do the pneumatic's work?

There's usually a tube/hose that runs from the control switch under the dash through the firewall. It picks up vacuum from a port on the intake manifold, same place your power brake booster gets its vacuum from (if you have power brakes).

Well, that explains it, no tube from motor to panel don't even remember one when we swapped out the 383 to 440, will have to run one the only vacuum I have now is off the carb port. manual brakes :( disk on my to do list. Any routing or hook up diagrams out there? should get new controls too one switch broken off.

Have no clue were the vac starts and stops.
