Hi guys. I am ready to fire up my engine and want to to install a temporary oils gauge under the hood to watch pressure. Does anyone know were to hook into. I am used to working on Chevys in the past and think I tied in somewhere on the intake manifold but am not sure on molars. Thanks.

The oil pressure port is at the top rear of the block just in front of the bell housing on both small and big blocks. There's actually two on the big block back there....

Hope this pic helps, the sending unit shown is for idiot light style gauge, I actually have a fluid SW gauge so there is a 1/4" tube and fitting there now.

Why put in a temp guage? Tee off the rear hole and mount a permanent guage under the hood. That way you can monitor the oil pressure while you are under the hood working on the car.

thanks guys. i will put a permanent one in but for now will be monitoring the car on startup from under the hood since all my interior parts are out of the car ( seats, console, door panels). need to fire this car up so i can turn it around in my garage so i can finish work on the passenger side ( glass, locks, gaskets, etc. ). thanks for the pics.
