Thank you, USPS

How was the cam packaged? Packaging means a LOT. If you drop a cast iron cam flat on the floor, it will usually break and need to be supported by something strong. Tie wrapped to a board works well then wrapped in cardboard with plenty of the smaller bubble wrap for cushioning. I used to build rear ends and a guy brought over his gears that he bought from a guy on the 'other' board and he put it in one of those 'if it fits it ships' boxes from the USPS and the gears didn't make it in the box without being 're-wrapped' by the PO. Luckily, someone caught it before the gears managed to totally separate from the box and was able to shrink wrap it up and get them to us. It amazes me how some people ship stuff sometimes. Always package your parts as if it needs to survive an atom bomb!

Duct Tape should do it too.

I use UPS, always insure it for more then I sold it for and keep my reciepts. I have had to file a claim once....Shipped a bumper with the bumper jack and associated bits. Somehow UPS managed to rip the bumper hook out of the packaging which would have required a sharp knife. I really think because it was clear one of the UPS employees probably stole it for his car since the rest of the packaging seemed to be undamaged. (according to the seller who did not take a photo of the packaging which I find sketchy too)
