Well things are starting to look good. We ran into a few problems but our project is moving along at a fast pace. The boys and I can't wait to drive her! My sons Drake 8 and Charlie 12 years old and this is there first build. We will paint the dash today. I hope to get the cluster back together after merging 2 together but lost the left turn, right turn, and high beam lenses. The blacked out chrome look will be going after we get her up and running. The bumpers are powder coated black and will get rechromed later unless somebody wants to trade them for chrome ones. I am off to check local wreckers for the round plug to the gagues and the plug to the firewall to repair the under dash harness and a stock battery tray setup before the boys get out of school. Also I got a visit from the city code compliance officer for running a car repair business out of my home. They also claimed that we painted the car in the driveway. Turns out I pissed off a few people because my friend dumped his limo at our house for 6 months. It is gone now so I hope they leave us alone. One of the many cons of a driveway build. The engine compartment picture is old. It is now repainted and has a bunch of new parts. We are working on it day and night and hope to have her up and running this weekend.

Thanks. I have not put them to the real test. I got her home under her own power but the secondarys would not open so I couldn't go fast enough to tell you. I will let you know when I do an all out test run.

looks like a great starting point.good luck and have fun with the kids!

Well I'm back from the wrecking yards and could not find a single B body. The drivers defrost duct under my dash is MIA along with the tubes for it and still can't find the lenses for the cluster. Weather is not good enough to paint the dash. Hope it gets better. I am getting frustrated trying to find small parts. Now I have to buy a third cluster to get the left turn, right turn and high beam lenses to finish the cluster rebuild. I'm off to pick up the kids and back to work on the car. Even with the pain of getting parts I still love working on her! Mopar or no car!!! Could not find parts so we started to strip the black paint off the drip rails, sail panels and the front windshield moldings. found a few dings and will need a little hammer/sanding work before buffing.

Update: lenses found and cluster done!!!! The stainless drip rails are stripped and polished.

Nice looking car so far. Yea, it's getting tougher everyday to find the parts for these cars in the salvage yards.

Sure is Roadrunnerman. After I picked up my son from school I went by Magnum Force in Campbell and asked about where to find wrecking yards with Mopar parts and was informed that California was picked over. People have gathered up the good parts and the Cash for clunkers program did not help at all. When I am done building I will list all my extra parts to help keep the Mopar guys on the road.

I had a dream that in the future everyone was driving smart cars and I woke up screaming!

Wow, This is really moving along fast, Looks great, this will turn some heads when your out and about! Good luck to the finish line..

that's a sweet looker! great that the kids are in on it. I was just thinking today about a yard that was less than 10 miles from me that had a a dozen or so Coronets,Chargers that looked like they were drove in and left. If I had know back in the early '80s what I know know I woulda stripped them all.

Last week we installed a Magnum Force tubular K member. When we find a dash and engine harness we will be on the road. The boys are happy that it is almost done.

Ron & the guys at Magnum Force Racing are great to deal with, Ron knows his stuff too... I haven't purchased anything from them in a while now thou, but they're great knowledgeable friendly car guys & die hard Mopar people... Good luck, with the family 67 Coronet Project, keep up the good work, my fellow NorCal Mopar Brotheren....

Year One has/sells M&H Harnesses for Mopars {Exclusively for M&H}, they ain't cheap either, but if your tired of searching wrecking yards, finding nothing or want a good new un-butchered/un-molested dash, engine, lights, chassis, rear harness, etc. they are plug & play quality pieces...

Happy 4th !! That's gonna be one great handling Coronet and it's most excellent you are doing this with your children

Very cool car and some good looking helpers you got, keep it up.
