That must’ve been hard to pick which cars you had to downsize, why did you pick the Chargers?

I have been downsizing too,but I still managed to buy a couple!

Downsizing means just that. One day we will all downsize, or leave it for someone else to clean up. I already have and I like it. It's just stuff, even if it's a sweet ride, they come and they go...........

Ahh ha, I didn’t know that. I thought he just had the blue Charger in his first picture because I seen that as his photo avatar all the time
They will............. Before dying, a guy gives a friend a thousand dollars and tells him to put it in his coffin when he dies. At the funeral, one of the friends asked if he brought the money, he said yes, I wrote him a check...............

When I downsized to one, many folks ostracized me for selling my Hemi car. Didn't want my wife to have to deal with it down the road, and I made more productive use of the capital tied up in it. The last remaining GTX is destined to go to the original owner's grandson. To paraphrase a slogan from the 80s, it's not the guy who dies with the most toys who wins, it's the one who leaves the least messy legacy.
Some people just don't get it. Well said. Cash is easier to carry and don't kid yourself, no matter what they say, cash is king. Just my opinion!
The tricky thing is finding someone with the skills and knowledge to keep the old cars working. Add to that the rarity of a young person who appreciates these beautiful rolling works of art and the pool gets smaller. I have an heir picked out for the Dart GT convertible but no one for the other 2. Hopefully I have a few years left to figure it all out.
We all hope that. Well, us older guys anyway. I have asked the question, "what is the last Mopar you want to own before you are so old that they take your drivers license away." I better sell my two and start looking for that 64 Dodge I've always wanted.

A few years ago, shortly after I joined this site, there was a thread posted, what would be your ultimate Mopar...in my case it wasn't the rarest or most expensive. It was the one that started the journey when I was 16. When I finally acquired it, the legacy question came into play. Pleasant surprise for me, and the family that originally owned the car, the youngest descendant wants it, and can easily afford it.We all hope that. Well. us older guys anyway. Now that is a keeper.
I'm giving the one I have away.
Finding a person is easy, list it, they will come. I sold my last one to a guy I knew really liked it a lot. He was short on funds and I dropped the price till he had to have it. He was so happy, it was fun to watch. We don't own anything, we just using it till it's time.
Poly now has funds to really live it up, not garage furniture sitting there.
Good for you Kiwi ! I have no remorse after letting mine go. The buyer is a huge Mopar guy. My car was what he has wanted forever. The car went to the best possible owner. My coffer got refilled. My tractor resides in the barn…and when the weather is really bad, I have a place for my daily driver. It has been a win, win, win, win situation.
