My neighbors parents are from England, I met them last week, could barely hold a conversation. Daughter said she has to register every 5 years to keep here US status. It cost her over $1,000 to stay here every 5 years. WTF

I try but I do have a hearing loss issue that started as a kid and only got worse with years in construction.
I love different accents but have a hard time grasping every word said. I have to watch TV with closed captioning to follow the dialog.

I understand regular conversation well enough. TV is tough though. It is when I have to “focus my ears” that I really fall short.
