The first tv we bought after we were married in 1987 was a 19" Sony Trinitron. We had that tv for nearly 10 years until we traded up to a 26".

I was so poor my aunt gave a TV. It lasted 2 weeks.

Did the same thing with the same TV in 79 when I first got married. The TV I had was pretty small and I only used it to check the weather since I rode a bike (with a motor) a lot back then.

Ours was/is a 17" RCA. Still have it. [and yes, its the only one in the house and its almost 40 years old...]
